I am typing this post on my brand new MacBook Air!🤩 Since I’m in the end stages of my bachelor, I’m writing my thesis. And this means: hours, hours and hours on end behind my laptop and typing away. I love my old MacBook Air and it was amazing to have the laptop during the 3 years of my studies but its best times are part of the past. The battery hardly lasts 2/3 hours and it freezes up I don’t know how many times whilst using. Therefore, it was time for a new one and when it comes to my thesis, there is no better time than the present!
I thought about what I needed and what I wanted. I took my time whilst researching the possibilities concerning MacBook Airs and MacBook Pros but eventually I went for a new MacBook Air. I had saved the money for the USA trip and since that wasn’t going to happen, I decided to use the money to invest in my new laptop. And I am so glad I did!
Now thesis life is a real term for me at the time. Whilst I’m doing my internship, I’m writing my thesis on an HR related topic which is super interesting! I love learning more about the HR field and anything that will help me. The first deadlines have passed and the first round of feedback has come back. I now know if I am on the right track and I can continue to write! I am very anxious to write the complete thing since it is such an important piece of document that I am writing. But I am confident that I will achieve a good thesis.
I think that at the end of my internship I cannot hear the words compensation and benefits policy anymore. But I think that everyone has that with their thesis subject. Don’t get me wrong. I like my topic and its really interesting but it practically doesn’t matter what topic you pick. After 4 months of reading, writing and thinking about it, I don’t think that anyone would disagree with me.
Now lockdown is starting to ease a little and I don’t know how I feel. On one side I am glad to be able to do things with my friends again and on the other I am a little anxious…. I am sure that most people feel like this.
I am hoping things will keep going better and the world will start to be normal again, whatever that new normal may be.
Stay healthy everyone
Love, Anna
